Step 1 — The First Conversation

After you inquire, we set up a relaxed call to get to know you. Not just your timeline — but your story.

We want to know:

  • How you met

  • What you love most about each other

  • What moments matter most to you

  • What you want to remember forever

This helps us film your wedding in a way that feels deeply personal, not generic.

Step 2 — Planning Together

As your wedding gets closer, we work alongside your planner and photographer to create a seamless plan for the day.

You won’t need to think about video coverage at all — we’ve already thought through it.

We’ll:

  • Review your timeline

  • Identify meaningful moments to be ready for

  • Schedule a final meeting to go over what you all envision for your film, different styles to take it, music suggestions, etc.

  • Help guide lighting, locations, and flow when needed

You never have to “perform” for the camera. We handle the logistics so you can be present.

Step 3 — Your Wedding Day

This is where Colburn Films really feels different.

We are calm. Quiet. Intentional.

Most couples tell us at the end of the night,

“We forgot you were even there.”

That’s the highest compliment we can receive.

We don’t interrupt moments.
We don’t over-direct.
We don’t make you redo anything.

We document the day as it unfolds naturally — the way it actually felt to be there.

And when we do guide you (during portraits or golden hour), it’s gentle, effortless, and never forced.

Step 4 — The Editing Process

After your wedding, we begin carefully crafting your film.

This isn’t a template.
This isn’t copy-and-paste editing.

We go back through the footage looking for the pieces that tell your story — the looks, the laughter, the voices, the emotions you didn’t even realize were happening.

Every film is edited by hand, with intention, pacing, and music that matches the feeling of your day.

Step 5 — Delivery Day

We love to post teaser videos on social of different moments, feelings, or overall film trailers of your wedding day.

A few weeks after your wedding day, you’ll receive an email with all your deliverables for you to treasure forever.
